Betty J. Scott – 73 – formerly of Warsaw, NY died Tuesday afternoon (February 18, 2025) at the Corning Center Rehab Facility in Corning, NY where she has resided for the past 4 years.
Born in Dansville, NY on April 20, 1951, she was the daughter of Clifton & Katherine Shephard.
Betty grew up in West Sparta and was a graduate of Dansville High School (class of 1969). Throughout the years she resided in several locations including West Sparta, Castile, Rochester, Wayland, Warsaw and Corning.
Surviving are her children, Tammy (Stephen) Canuti of Hornell and Raymond Scott of Dansville; her brothers, Patrick Shephard of Middlesex, NY; and Vic Shephard of Dansville; her step-children, Debbie Donohue, Wilson Scott and Tina Scott; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Betty’s request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
Betty’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
