Penelope M. “Penney” Worth – 75 – of Whitney Valley Road, Almond, died Friday afternoon (May 24, 2024) at her home.
Born in Braddock, PA on June 4, 1948, she was the daughter of Philip & Jewel (Vaskevich) Smith. She has resided in the Almond area for over 35 years.
Penney was married to Ronald Worth who died in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Vlasty.
Surviving are her son, Christopher (Michele) Worth of Almond; 1 brother, Rev. Lawrence Smith of Pittsburg, PA; 1 grandson, Wyatt Worth of Almond; several nieces & nephews.
At Penney’s request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
Penney’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to Abbe-Freeland Animal Sanctuary, 8104 Terwilliger Road, Angelica, NY 14709.
