Jason Hale Freeman, 49, of 161 Maple St, Hornell died on August 7^th, 2022.  Jason was born in Boston, MA on April 24, 1973.

He is survived by his mother, Carla Conrad Johnson; his stepfather, Jeffery Johnson; his sister, Johanna (David Kaplan) Freeman and his nieces, Sylvie Kaplan and Nadia Kaplan, all of Gainesville, FL; his aunt, Alexa Conrad (Maurice) Arce of Randolph, NJ; his stepbrothers, Kurt Johnson and Kyle Johnson of Rochester, NY; his stepsister, Keegan (Johnson) Manchester of Leominster, MA; and his paternal uncle, Jon Hale of Rochester, NY.  He was predeceased by his maternal uncle, Randall Conrad of Lexington, MA, and by his father, Lee Hale of Hornell, NY.

He was a 1991 graduate of Alfred-Almond Central School, where he excelled at downhill skiing and was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder. His wit, personality and mischievous sense of humor brought him many friends. After graduating from AACS, Jason completed one year of college at Rochester Institute of Technology but decided not to continue; he enlisted in the United States Air Force in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. After completing Basic Training, in addition to the Air Force Training Ribbon and a National Defense Service Medal he was awarded a Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. He was trained as a Security Specialist, and received an Honorable Discharge after completing his additional commitment to the Air Force Reserves.

Jason decided to return to school and enrolled at Alfred State College, earning an Associate’s Degree in Building Construction with a concentration in Masonry. After graduation from ASC, he packed all his belongings into a van and moved to the trendy city of Portland, OR, where some of his Alfred friends had already relocated. In Portland Jason worked at several different companies, putting the knowledge he had acquired at ASC to good use and acquiring new skills from on-the-job experience. At Whitaker/Ellis Builders, he was a Form Builder and Concrete Finisher on commercial multi-story building projects. At Hammer and Hand he worked as a carpenter on the restoration and remodeling of historic homes. He tested and inspected fire sprinkler systems and their related components at Metro Safety and Fire. He studied hard to pass tests and gained professional credentials from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) and the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO). He also passed the qualifying exam for the Oregon Contractor’s License.

After 16 years in the rainy Pacific Northwest, Jason moved to coastal Georgia in 2014 and was hired as Office Administrator at Southeast Nursery, a major wholesale plant nursery on St. Simons Island. Jason loved the nursery environment. He quickly became skilled at plant identification and scientific nomenclature, which was necessary for accurate management and care of plant inventory, correct order fulfillment and related bookkeeping. In 2020 he became Nursery Operations Manager.

Jason followed politics closely and was extremely knowledgeable about the candidates and issues, both statewide and nationally. He was an avid reader of nonfiction and fiction. His favorite character in literature was Sherlock Holmes and he enjoyed seeing how Holmes and his partner Watson were portrayed by different actors over the years on film. He enjoyed reading James Bond novels and followed those film adaptations as well. Jason loved motorcycles and trucks, doing most of the necessary repairs himself, and he deeply appreciated music of all kinds.

Jason’s personal mission was rescuing dogs from shelters or other facilities, including private homes, that had been reported to animal welfare authorities for animal abuse. He adopted dogs of different breeds and sizes over the years and literally saved their lives with the best veterinary care and food, and most of all, with abundant love.

He was naturally artistic, working with wood, glass, metal, and other materials in his spare time. Several years ago, on a visit to Hornell Jason impulsively made several unique, unpainted birdhouses in his stepfather Jeff’s wood shop. They are still placed above the family garden in Hornell, beautifully weathered now. More recently he taught himself to paint landscapes and abstract scenes in acrylics, which he found relaxing and rewarding. He loved offering his family their choice of paintings as gifts.

He loved to cook, and he enjoyed learning to make southern delicacies such as fresh collard greens cooked for hours with bacon. He often collaborated on meals with Shasta Fahs, his dear friend and companion since 2015, at her house in Brunswick. Whether it was a simple cookout on the grill or a full-fledged Christmas dinner for a crowd, Shasta and Jason were a good team, and they turned every gathering into a special occasion.

Jason was thrilled to become an uncle in 2013 and again in 2017, and drove to visit his nieces Sylvie and Nadia in Gainesville whenever he could, and he loved bringing presents for them. Jason was a loving son, stepson, brother, uncle, and stepbrother who genuinely cared about every member of his family.

At the family’s request there will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Life for Jason Freeman is being planned for the Fall of 2022.

Donald Howard “Don” Spittler, a resident of Hornell for over fifty years, died at the age of 75 on Thursday, August 11 in East Aurora.

Born on November 24, 1946 in Springville, NY, Don was the son of the late Genevieve and Howard Spittler. 

Don was a 1964 graduate of Springville Griffith Institute High School, where he lettered in golf, football and basketball.  He continued his education at Indiana State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1968. 

From 1968 – 2006, he served as a teacher in the Hornell City School District.  During his tenure at the school, Don also served as the coach of the varsity swim team.  He was known as a motivational and strategic coach who helped build the program into a regional powerhouse.  Former students and swimmers would often comment on the impact he had on their lives.

Don had an adventurous spirit whether he was traveling cross-country on his motorcycle, deep sea fishing, scuba diving or pressing his luck at the casino.

He was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, an avid golfer and an entertaining storyteller.  Don especially enjoyed his summers at Chautauqua Lake and gatherings with family and friends over the Christmas holidays.  He usually arrived at the family home at the very last minute with his arms filled with unwrapped gifts.

Surviving are two brothers, Dr. Terry (Mary) Spittler of Geneva and William (Amy) Spittler of Norwich; three sisters, Jeaneen (the late Michael) Fitzpatrick of McKinney, TX, Margaret (Emmanuel) Spittler of Colden, and Dr. Holly Spittler of Bradford, PA; as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Don will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor and kindness.  The family would like to acknowledge and thank Don’s special colleague, neighbor and friend, Marcia Santelli.

A memorial service will be held on September 24, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St, Hornell, NY.  A “Celebration of Life” luncheon will follow at 1:00 PM at The Main Place, 251 Main Street in Hornell, NY. Burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery in Springville, NY.

Henry J. Wulforst – 83 – of 8687 Conderman Road, Town of Fremont, died early Saturday morning (August 20, 2022) at his home, following a long illness.

Born in Hicksville, LI on March 1, 1939, he was the son of Henry “Sam” & Helen “Nellie” (Horan) Wulforst.

A resident of the Hornell – Fremont area since the age of four, Henry was a graduate of Arkport Central School (class of 1957).  He was also a Veteran of the US Army serving his country for two years.

Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Henry returned to the Hornell – Fremont area and for many years was associated with the family potato farming business.  For most of his adult life, he worked in the construction industry with several local construction companies.  For 18 years, Henry served as Superintendent for the Town of Fremont.

Henry was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church.  He was an avid New York Mets fan and also enjoyed rooting for the Buffalo Bills.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Wulforst RSM (Sisters of Mercy); 2 brothers, James Wulforst and Charles Wulforst.

In 1973, Henry married the former Lorraine Hinkley Volkmar who survives.  Also surviving are his step-son, Scott Volkmar of Fremont; his step-granddaughter, Shana Harrington; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Anne M. Lane – 86 – formerly of Dansville, died peacefully Thursday, August 18th 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Elderwood at Hornell Nursing Facility where she had resided for the past 5 years.

Born in Springwater, NY on May 21, 1936, she was the daughter of Frank & Edna (Glena) Leising.

Anne grew up in Springwater and was a graduate of Wayland Central School (class of 1954).  Following high school graduation, she moved to the Rochester area where she graduated from cosmetology school, becoming a hairdresser / beautician.  For several years, Anne owned & operated her own beauty parlor in Rochester.

While living in Rochester, Anne began working as a Therapy Aid at Rochester Psych Center.  After moving to the Dansville area in the late 1960’s, she continued working for the Rochester Psych Center retiring with a total of 23 years of service.  For about 12 years, Anne worked part time for the Dansville Salvation Army (retail clothing) as a cashier.  She retired in 2004.

Anne had been a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Dansville.  She was a Buffalo Bills Football Fan and especially enjoyed the Super Bowl years.  Anne was an avid reader whose favorite author was James Patterson.  She always looked forward to meeting up with her friends and having coffee at the Sunrise Restaurant nearly every day.  Anne also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

She was married to Richard “Dick” Lane who died April 19, 2002.  Anne was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Upton, Margaret Perkins, Eleanor Coast and Catherine Leising; her brother, Joe Leising.

Surviving are 1 daughter, Almeda (Michael) Chase of Dansville; step-children, Richard (Vicki) Lane of Rochester, Steve Lane of Rochester, Valerie Lane of Canandaigua and Catherine Torres of Victor, NY; 3 grandchildren, Corey Chase, Michael Chase, JR and Pam Chase; many step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews.

Almond, New York

Gerald H. “Jerry” Powers – 87 – of 18 Mill St., Almond, NY died Saturday afternoon (August 13, 2022) at Hornell Gardens, following a long illness.

Born in Hornell on September 19, 1934, he was the son of Albert & Cecile (Robertson) Powers.

Jerry grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1954).  After high school graduation, he resided in Lockport, NY for several years working at Harrison Radiator.

He was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country from 1957 – 1959.  Following his honorable discharge from the army, Jerry lived in Corning for several years and for over 35 years resided in Campbell, NY.  He was employed in many capacities at Ingersoll Rand Corporation in Painted Post, retiring in 1998 as a parts inspector.  He has resided in Almond since 1998.

Jerry was a former member of the Hornell American Legion and throughout the years was an avid golfer, playing in several leagues in Corning and enjoying many golf courses in the area.  He also loved horse racing, especially going to Batavia Downs and Buffalo Raceway with his brother-in-law who owned several race horses. He was often seen with his lifelong friend Jack Generalli also from Hornell.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Duane Powers and his sister, Helen Hendershot.

On August 24, 1957, Jerry married the former Carolyn Bird who survives.  Also surviving are 3 sons, Dale (Carrie) Powers of Baden, PA, Jeff Powers of Norwalk, CT and Jamie (Trish) Powers of Vidalia, GA; 1 brother, Gary (Sue) Powers of Hornell; 5 grandchildren, Ashley (Tim) Hoban, Greg (Michelle Skowron) Powers, Drew (Chelsea Bello) Powers, Riley Powers and Claire Powers; 2 great-grandchildren, Kairi Hoban and Eliyanah Hoban; several nieces & nephews.

The family of Gerald H. “Jerry” Powers will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 PM  –  5:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.  A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 5:00 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.  Final interment will be in Alfred-Rural Cemetery, Alfred Station, NY.

Patricia A. “Pat” Dailey – (88) – of Hornell, died Tuesday evening (August 2, 2022) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, following a recent illness.

Born in Chicago, IL on December 17, 1933, she was the daughter of Bryan & Sarah (Bunn) Moylan.

Pat resided in Elmira, NY from 1934 – 1962 and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Grade School and later graduated from Elmira Catholic High School. She resided in Hornell from 1962 – 1983 where she was employed as Unit Secretary at the former St. James Mercy Hospital.  Pat lived in Rochester from 1983 – 1990 where she worked at Strong Memorial Hospital.  She returned to Hornell in 1990, resuming her employment at St. James Mercy Hospital.  Pat thoroughly enjoyed her monthly dinners with friends and former co-workers of St. James Mercy Hospital.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ignatius Loyola Church and St. Ann’s Church.  Pat enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and music.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On September 20, 1952, Pat married her high school sweetheart, Thomas “Paul” Dailey, who died February 8, 2008.  She was also preceded in death by 3 sons, Daniel Dailey who died in 2003, David Dailey who died in 2010 and Dennis Dailey who died in 2012; her brothers, Bryan “Bud” Moylan and John “Jack” Moylan.

Surviving are 2 sons, Tim Dailey of Holley, NY, and Jeff Dailey of Hornell; 5 daughters, Linda (Karl) Haynes of Wilmington, DE, Teresa (Joe) Hall of Hornell, Carol (Steve) Freeland of Hornell, Patricia (Bradley) Spicer of Hornell and Diana (Dirk) Huussen of Rochester; her daughters-in-law, Sue (Glenn) Winans and Patricia Dailey, Anne Marie Dailey and Suzie Dailey; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Dailey and Gloria Moylan; 30 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews.

Casey J. Getman – 29 – of 49 Hill St., Hornell, died Friday afternoon (July 29, 2022) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Hornell on October 27, 1992, he was the son of Douglas Getman, Sr. of Andover & Amy Lou Sheroschick of Elmira.

Casey grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School & Wildwood Campus from the Cisco Networking Academy (class of 2011).  He had been employed for a time at Burger King and also as a supervisor for AVI Food Service at Alfred University.

For several years he resided in Hubert, NC and was employed at King Fisher corporation (a government contracting company) doing computer networking at Camp Lejeune Marine Base.  While living in North Carolina, Casey cared for his grandmother, Barbara Getman who he adored & cherished.

Moving back to the Hornell area about four years ago, Casey has been employed as a Communications Operation Specialist for GST BOCES, based in Elmira.

Casey was a “computer whiz” and loved computer networking.  He had a special bond with Molly Murphy his Cisco Networking Teacher who he helped whenever he could.  He enjoyed “gaming” and played computer games with people all around the world.  He loved riding his motorcycle and simply hanging out with his many friends, especially his husband, Jason Miller and his longtime friend, Krisstarah Edwards.  He and Jason enjoyed spending time at Darien Lake and actually had season passes.  Casey loved his pet ferrets, Lisa & Bart, that his grandmother got for him.  He also loved his 3 dogs, Goliath, Wolf and Moose.

He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Jonathan Brace.

On August 29, 2020, he was married to Jason Miller who survives.  The service was officiated by Krisstarah Edwards.  Also surviving are his father, Douglas (Delilah Gee) Getman, Sr. of Andover; his mother, Amy Lou (Steve Kimball) Sheroschick of Elmira; his brother, Douglas (Brittany) Getman, Jr. of Hornell; his sister, Debbie (Joshua) Dodge of Binghamton; his mother-in-law, Michelle (Jeff Heckman) Miller of Andover; his father-in-law, Daniel (Lori Snyder Drum) Miller of Hornell; 2 brothers-in-law, Andrew (Courtney Dailey) Miles of Hornell and Joshua (Kylee Dobbin) Miller of Peoria, AZ; his sister-in-law, Lena (Chris Wilkins) Miles of Wilmington; NC, 2 stepbrothers Dillon & David Brace of Andover; Blaine Priggy of Andover; 2 Step-sisters Lyla Gee of Andover; Katie Gee of Corning; several nieces & nephews, including Mikey & Dougie.

The family of Casey J. Terry E. Brookins, Sr. – 71 – of 268 Grand St., Hornell, died Thursday evening (July 28, 2022) at his home following a brief illness, surrounded by his wife and daughter.

Born in Olean, NY on March 12, 1951, he was the son of Fred & Ruth (Hale) Brookins.

Terry grew up in Hinsdale, NY and was a graduate of Hinsdale High School (class of 1969).  He was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country from 1971 – 1981 (during the Vietnam Conflict).  While in the Army, Terry was stationed in Baumholder and Bremerhaven Germany with the 293^rd Engineer Battalion, in Ft. Bliss, TX and Ft. Devens, MA.  Throughout his service years, Terry received many awards and recognitions, and was honorably discharged with the rank of SPEC 5.  Terry enjoyed the time he spent serving his country, especially his tours in Germany.  He loved talking about the people he met, the things he did, and places he visited.  Terry especially loved talking about the time he walked the length of the airplane all the way to Germany holding, and consoling, his infant son, and about how his daughter loved driving her purple “Cuda” pedal-car around, while being stationed at Fort Bliss.

Throughout the years, Terry was employed as a truck driver, using the CB handle “Munchkin.”  Terry drove for numerous trucking companies in Massachusetts, New York, and Texas, driving throughout the United States.  His favorite items to haul were apples & trees.  While stationed in Germany Terry belonged to, and was the president of, a CB Radio Club; his original CB handle was “Papa Hinsdale,” but was later changed to “Tinkerbell,” because that was the name his daughter wanted him to use.

A collector of firearms, Terry previously owned several rifles, shotguns, and pistols, one was a limited-edition NYS issued Police Revolver, number 25 of 50.  He also enjoyed owning and riding horses throughout the countryside.  Terry loved watching Action and Western TV shows and movies. In recent years Terry took pride in rebuilding and restoring his 1997 Chevy Silverado Z71.

Those who knew Terry best, knew he was a proud, simple, and easy to please, man.  He was kind, gentle, giving, and loving man, putting the wants and needs of others before his own, even if it meant he went without.  Terry would do everything he could to help other people.

Terry often mentioned how much he enjoyed living on Grand St., “it’s a very good neighborhood with great neighbors, you can’t do much better than this.”  He liked that the neighborhood was nice, peaceful, and clean.  He often said it was one of the best areas he had lived in.

Terry was preceded in death by his brother, David Brookins.

On March 29, 2008, Terry married the former Tammy Shepard who survives.  Also surviving are his son, Terry (Michelle) Brookins, Jr., of Freeport, FL, and daughter, Aimee Brookins Bautista of Sherman, TX; step-children, John (Stephanie) Rosemier of Hornell, NY, Daniel (Tabitha) Rosemier of Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island, and Cassie (Ben) Feenaughty of Hornell; brother, Larry (Shawne) Brookins of Olean; half-sister, Cyndi West of Bradford, PA; mother in-law Clara Shepard of Hornell, NY; sisters in-law, Donna Brookins of Clifton Springs, NY, Deborah (Tom) Hunt of Arkport, NY, Cheryl Shepard of Hornell, NY, and Patricia (Patrick) Dennis of Cape Coral, FL; and brother in-law Stephen (Merry) Shepard of Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island, WA.  Terry was lovingly known as “Beba” to his three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-granddaughters (who were his pride and joy).  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and special friends/neighbors Don Kelley, Mary Liz Schwartz, and Frank Poorman.

James J. “Jim” Bush- 89- passed away April 12, 2022, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, FL.

Born March 18, 1933, in Silver Springs, NY, to Arthur and Anna Bush.  Jim was the youngest of 11 children and was raised on the family farm.

Jim was a master mechanic in the Operating Engineers Union for many years working all over NY State.   He later moved to Florida but continued to work in the construction business.

On May 1, 1954, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Leven, from Dansville, NY.   They moved to Warsaw, NY, and later Rochester to raise 7 children: Cynthia, Janet, James Jr., Catherine, Donald, Michael and Edward.

Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, playing cards, and an occasional trip to the Casino.  He was known in his family as the maker of the best hot fudge ever!!   He kept his recipe a secret until he was in his 80s.   Now his great-granddaughters, Ellasyn and Kyla, have mastered the recipe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; his sons James Jr. and Michael.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers; 5 sisters; and his beloved 4-legged friend, Terry.

Surviving are his children, Cynthia (Greg) Nelson of Dansville, Janet (Joseph) McMichael of Alfred Station, Catherine (Docker) Reaney of Stuart, FL, Donald of Boca Raton, FL and Edward of Wilton Manors, FL; 7 grandchildren, Kim (Byron) Ellsworth of Bath, Debra (Brad) Cannon of Andover, Thomas McMichael of Alfred Station, Nicole VanNorman of Almond, NY, Andrew (Ashley) Nelson of Bradford, OH, Erica Nelson of Rochester, NY and Cameron Bush of Boca Raton, FL; 8 great-grandchildren, Brianna Marvin of Corning, Brynn Ellsworth of Bath,  Dylan, Ellasyn, and Kyla Cannon, all of Andover, Kaidyn VanNorman of Almond, Matthew Nelson and Ayden Weinstock of Bradford, OH; his sister-in-law, Ann Bush of Rochester, brother-in-law, James Gillen of Warsaw, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

The family of James J. Bush will receive friends Saturday, August 6^th, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.  A Memorial Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12:00 Noon with Deacon Bob McCormick officiating.   There will be a “Celebration of Life” luncheon immediately following at the Arkport American Legion, 1 Carter St., Arkport, NY.

Dorothy A. Ermy, 86, of 1190 County Route 66, Hornell, died Tuesday, July 26^th at Strong Memorial Hospital’s ICU, Rochester, NY, following a brief illness.

Born in Hornell on December 31, 1935, she was the daughter of Frank & Edna (Norton) Secondo.

Dorothy grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1954).  During high school she served as a waitress at the former Cards Drug Store and for 17 years she worked at the former Merrill Hosiery in Hornell.  For 25 years, Dorothy was employed as a baker at the Hornell High School, baking delicious treats for the students including her famous peanut butter cookies which are still fondly remembered by alumni.  She retired in 2002.

A faithful child of God, Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church.  She had a deep love of St. Ann’s Church and was an active member of the St. Ann’s Adoration Chapel.  She was also a member of the Ladies of Columbus, Catholic Daughters of America, Carducci Lodge – Sons of Italy and the Hornell Association.

Dorothy loved spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for family & friends.  She will fondly be remembered for her “mouthwatering” Chocolate Chip, Christmas, and Italian Cookies which she often created for weddings of family & friends.  A collection of her favorite recipes was gathered by her son Anthony, and he created a recipe book titled “Seventy Plus Years of Baking – With Love”.

In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed watching movies on television, especially those shown on the Lifetime Channel and the Hallmark Channel.  More recently she enjoyed “Metflix” (her pronunciation)!  She also loved spending time crocheting, creating beautiful afghans which she lovingly gave to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was married on May 1st, 1954, to Anthony S. “Butch” Ermy who died April 27, 2007.   She was also preceded in death by her brother, Karl Secondo, two sisters: Mary Ann Losecco and Janice Davis, and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Ermy.

Surviving is her son, Anthony Ermy of Crestview FL and two daughters, Judy (Tim) Ordway of Hornell and Maria Gallese-Delvecchio; her brother Frank Secondo of Mesa, AZ and two sisters, Joanne Porcaro of Hornell and Patty Lenhart of Mesa, AZ; ten grandchildren, Michelle (Leonard) Williams, Port St Lucie FL, Jennifer (Ronald) Harris, Mountain House CA, Michael Ermy, Crestview FL, Edward (Michele) Ordway, Highland Ranch CO, Daniel (Lindsay) Ermy, Crestview FL, Jennifer (Kevin) Pegg, Chesterfield MO; Ashley (Karl) Scaggs, Huntington MD; Karlene Gallese, Rochester NY; Gianna Gallese, Cleveland Ohio, Carmen Gallese, Rochester NY; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.

The family of Dorothy A. Ermy will receive friends on Monday, August 1st from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:00 AM at    St. Ann’s Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Ermy will be streamed via YouTube and can be viewed on the Dagon Funeral Home Facebook page on Tuesday at 10:00 AM by visiting www.facebook.com/dagonfuneralhome.  The video will remain available for viewing on our Facebook page for 30 days.
