Thomas J. Clancy

Thomas J. “Tom” Clancy – 77 – of Ft. Wright, KY, formerly of Hornell, died Friday (August 12, 2011) following a long illness. 

Born in Hornell on December 19, 1933, he was the son of Edward & Florence (Feeney) Clancy.  

He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was also a Kentucky Colonel. 

Tom was employed as District Operations Manager and employee of JC Penney Company for 37 years. 

He was the beloved husband of Barbara Clancy of Ft. Wright, KY; loving father of Thomas Joseph (Anna) Clancy, JR of Barrington, RI and Pamela J. Clancy of Albany, NY; beloved brother of Edward Clancy, John Leo (Peggy) Clancy and Richard (Barbara) Clancy, all of Hornell and Mary (James) O’Connor of Dansville.  He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Holly, Katherine and Laura Clancy; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  

There will be no prior calling hours.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church.  Final interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.   Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY. 

Tom’s family request that memorial contributions in his name be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017
