Bonnie Lee Stephens – 63 – of Dansville, NY lost her battle with cancer on Friday, July 21, 2023.
Born in Wayland, NY on November 28, 1959, she was the daughter of Thomas & Arlene (Wyatt) Beckman.
Bonnie grew up in Conesus, NY and was a graduate of Livonia High School (class of 1978). She had been employed at Loohn’s dry Cleaners in Hornell until it was closed. She was well known in Dansville working at the Convenient Store and the Kwik-E Mini Mart on Ossian Street.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Beckman and her step-father, Frank Vaccaro.
Surviving are her children, Brian Cansdale of Ontario Center, Ryan Stephens of Sparta, Tori (Josh Juul) Stephens of Dansville, Troy Stephens of Dansville, Veronica VanHorn of Wayland and Robert (Deb Case) Stephens of Sparta; her mother, Arlene Vaccaro of Geneseo; her siblings, Barry Beckman of Victor, Beth (Alan) Rapp of Sparta, Vonda (Bill) Hollar of Sparta, Paula (Mark) Murphy of Geneseo and Mindy (Geoff) Carriero of Dansville; 18 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.Surviving are her children, Brian Cansdale of Ontario Center, Ryan Stephens of Sparta, Tori (Josh Juul) Stephens of Dansville, Troy Stephens of Dansville, Veronica VanHorn of Wayland and Robert (Deb Case) Stephens of Sparta; her former husband, Ron Stephens of Dansville; her mother, Arlene Vaccaro of Geneseo; her siblings, Barry Beckman of Victor, Beth (Alan) Rapp of Sparta, Vonda (Bill) Hollar of Sparta, Paula (Mark) Murphy of Geneseo and Mindy (Geoff) Carriero of Dansville; 18 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
At Bonnie’s request there will be no calling hours. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a time, date & place to be announced at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
Bonnie’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
