My American Mom Jacquelyn V. Andrews was a strong woman, a fantastic cook and took great care of me when I came as an exchange student to Hornell and spent one year with her and her wonderful family in 1976-1977.
She treated me as one of her daughters and we have been in contact ever since.
I will always remember her sharp mind and our great times together discussing a lot of things, politics, books, how things were overseas and recent family happenings. Always an interested listener and giving good advice when asked for.
In recent years I have spent great family Thanksgivings and summer outings by the pond
together with her at her daughter Susan´s house in North Hornell. Sometimes my sons came with me and were also welcomed as part of the family.

So Mom-thank you for everything, for your warmth, wisdom, for always keeping your house open for me and for keeping in contact for over 40 years.
    I will miss you!

Thinking of you across the Atlantic,

    Mia in Stockholm, Sweden
