Edward F. “Ed” Morey – 92 – formerly of Church St. Court, Hornell, died Thursday evening (October 28, 2010) at the Wellsville Manor where he has resided for the past 2 years.
Born in Hornell on June 3th, 1918, he was the son of Rocco & Bess (Shearer) Morey.
Ed was a graduate of Hornell High School and also Bryant-Stratton School in Buffalo. He later resided in several locations including New York City, Hollywood, Puerto Rica and St. Thomas. He returned to Hornell in 1984 where he remained until 1997. He resided in Rochester for several years and has lived in Wellsville for the past 2 years.
Surviving are his brother, Thomas Morey of Melbourne, FL; several nieces & nephews.
At Ed’s request there will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Cemetery with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.
