Andrea J. “Spook” (Testani) Gordon – 46 – of New York City, formerly of Hornell, passed peacefully from this world Sunday night, November 30, 2014, following a valiant battle with colon cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, family and close friends, in the comfort of her own home.

She was a resident of New York City where she had become one of Broadway’s most successful and sought after stage managers, working with some of the biggest names in the business. Her reputation for her professionalism, wit and charm is legendary in the theatre community.
Andrea left her professional life to dedicate her indefatigable energy and boundless love to her greatest achievement, her two beloved boys. She had most recently started teaching a stage management class at Fordham University which accommodated her son’s school schedule.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Jovena in 1977 and her cherished niece Elianna in 2001.

Dear John, Robert and Sean
I am so very sorry to hear about Spook. Even though we only knew Spook briefly ,having met her on a snowshoeing tour in Yosemite, I knew immediately she was very special. We loved spending a little more time with her in 2010 on a visit to NYC. We walked to the park with her and Robert in the stroller and we talked and talked. We kept in touch over the ocean and years via email and I delighted in her telling me about the boys and you John. She loved you all so very much and was very proud of her boys’ achievements.
I cannot believe she has gone and my heart aches for you.
